One of the best features of the city is the local events. The weekly farmers’ market at Riverwalk Commons from spring through autumn is a must! You’ll find everything you need there, from locally produced sauces and condiments to delectable meals to homemade soaps and candles. Live musicians play at the market, too! 

Hot Market Throughout the City

The average price of a home in Newmarket was $1,198,118 as of June 2023, which is just slightly above the GTA’s average. Homes in Newmarket are selling five days faster than the Toronto Region average and in fact, Newmarket homes are getting picked up faster than nearly every region in the GTA. The city had 216 new listings and 97 sales in June, with detached properties being the most popular.

The average list price for detached homes in Newmarket was $1,354,852 in June 2023, compared to $1,402,988 in May 2023, trending down by 3.4% month-over-month.
