Why Markham?

Among Markham’s attractions is the Markham Museum, one of the greatest museums in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Additionally, the FLATO Markham Theatre hosts outstanding musical and dramatic performances. Varley Art Gallery also features a substantial collection of paintings by renowned Canadian Group of Seven artist F. V. Varley on view. Milne Dam Conservation Park on the Rouge River is one of Markham’s natural treasure parks and is a haven for a variety of animals and plants.

Markham is unlike any other city because it blends the old with the new. The city’s historic districts are quite charming and definitely worth exploring. Unionville, which has a more than 200-year history, is undoubtedly the finest tourist destination. It is a beautiful area with spectacular homes, first-rate restaurants, and fantastic stores. Wandering around Markham Village is enjoyable, especially along Main Street, where old houses have been transformed into neighbourhood stores and eateries.
